Testing in Character Animator

To import the character into Character Animate I had to change the formatting of the PSD layers. I based this off of my past projects, and this article I found.

After that I had to set the file up so that I could import it into Character Animator. When I draw, I tend to just draw and different layers, and not name them or sort them. This meant that I had to sort out all of my layers to merge them together. I then formatted it into the correct folders for CA.

Then I imported the character into Character Animator to do initial testing.

I immediately saw that the pupils did not have the correct bounds. This is where I looked back at my Photoshop file and realised that I had not added a Pupil range bound for the eyes, I then added one, and the pupils looked a lot better. They still do not fully work correctly, but I am going to keep working on that.

The eyebrows moved too much up and down. I fixed this by in CA Puppet tracking behaviours changing the range that they move.

The final problem I noticed in that the head was not moving separately from the body, the whole character would turn when I tilted my head. This seems to be a problem with the formatting of the Photoshop file.
