Here is the script for my presentation:
- Hello, this is sophie husteden and this is my major project definition presentation
- My initial ideas for this project were
- To carry on with my negotiated brief, for this project I made an illustrated short story book about the untold stories of pets, as well as an app and a series of small animations that ran along side the book. If I were to carry on this project, I would create a second story for the book, based upon a puppy from a puppy farm. However, I feel that there is not much more that I can add to this project, it is already quite rounded.
- My next initial idea was to create a Character Animator project of an animated tutor that would help teach subjects to students. I have some prior knowledge of the programme as I used it for the Waterloo Uncovered project last year, however I feel that it would look good in my portfolio to have another project using this software.
- My final idea was to do a study into human anatomy, this is because I am most likely to go into illustration after this course is over and it would be useful to do more studying into human anatomy, as I tend to be a portrait artist mostly.
- My final idea is
- To create an animated version of a famous historical figure that will teach children about the topic they are known for. I would be using Character animator to create this animation. I would also be writing a script for the character to read.
- A similar project is
- BBC teach, this is a website that was launched by the BBC in 2020, to help parents that had to do at home teaching when schools closed. The website includes lots of video content, as well as live lessons.
- Another similar project is the TV show Horrible Histories. This is a historical and musical sketch show for children, they aimed to teach history in a way that kept children interested.
- These are my potential historical figures to create
- First is Anne Boleyn, this would be for KS3 classes. And for the subject the Tudors and Henry VIII. I also did some initial sketches of her.
- My next figure is Nefertiti. This would be for KS2 classes, and the subject is Ancient Egypt. I thought it would be interesting to do her instead of Cleopatra, as she is done a lot and Nefertiti tends not to be.
- And my final figure is Julius Caesar, this is for KS2 and the subject is the Roman Empire and its impact on Britain.
- Here is my roadmap for this project. I have had to push back all the times for it as I have injured my writing hand and am currently unable to start any drawings until hopefully after the 7th of march at earliest. However, I am still going to be able to complete the project as originally planned.
- Thank you for listening.
