Drawing the Background

I began by testing how certain backgrounds looked behind the character. So I put one of the photos that I took from my time in town, it looked too busy and a bit odd. 

I then decided to try with a picture from the inside of a Tudor house, I specifically searched for rooms associated with Anne Boleyn. I found a picture of her bedroom so I tried that, it looked okay but it was also quite busy and pulled the focus from the character. 

Finally, I decided to try a picture frame, this would make her look like a painting come to life. I used frames from portraits of her as reference for the final frame. I added a black boarder to the frame to make it match with the character.
